There is a good reason for having the ignore feature. I have only used it for two people on this forum. One insisted on comparing me to Hitler on multiple occasions. Another thought it was funny to post a graphic description of my wife having an abortion. There are a few people here who contribute nothing whatsoever to discussions. They do nothing but go out of their way to shock and offend. I don't avoid opinions that are different than mine- I actually enjoy the diversity of thought that you find at places such as here. But I don't need to have offensive nonsense shoved in my face. If that makes me "ignorant", so be it.
