Whatever you've got for bolts, holding your rear license plate on, back them out once in a while, put a dab of oil on the threads. Just detailing our Daughter's Pilot today, oy vey: thought I would snap the heads on those suckers, four of them, and a nice pile of rust on the back bumper by the time I had them all off.

 

Wouldn't plastic frames be lighter than titanium? And just as corrosion proof? How much fuel can you save with titanium vs. other materials? and if you can save on fuel with the lighter frames, when in the future would be the payoff? Also, you might want to check that your state actually requires displaying F & R plates. You could save money with just buying one if that's allowed.

EDIT! Hey wait! There's a carbon fiber option too -- even lighter, and cheaper.
