Looks kind of bulky and heavy to have in the car all the time. And then she already has it out and doesn't help the dude.

I prefer this cheap 18 pound floor jack with my dad's friend's custom adapters for both the front and rear jacking points for my Gen 3 Prius v.

    Hyper Tough 2 Ton Trolley Jack Red/Black - T82011W - Walmart.com - Walmart.com

The adapters allow raising the tires above the ground when they are fully flat and when jacked up, they are fully off the ground.

Many users are surprised that the jack shown will be too high to get under the car when the tire is flat and only find out in an emergency.

Toyota supplied scissor jack is compact, and will work. My only beef: the "eye" that the torsion bar hooks through is a single-eye casting, and the torsion bar's hook dances around with every rotation. Plus the casting is crap-quality, sheds flakes of metal with every turn. Here's some examples:

Toyota style (single eyelet casting, unstable):

Honda style (double eyelet, bent plate, much more stable):

I also use the Toyota scissor jack. Then I have a 12v tire inflator that I got from HF.
