Does driving a prius or hybrid absolve you of the sins of driving through a drive-thru?

As I was waiting yesterday evening for my wife to pick me up (in the Prius, we only have one car) from work, someone else pulled up to do the same thing and they sat for TWENTY MINUTES in the car with the engine running. It wasn't at all hot, no need for air conditioning, so WHY NOT TURN THE DAMN THING OFF? I mean really, would you fill up with diesel (it was a Peugot diesel) and then squirt a few cups onto the floor? So why the hell not just turn the engine off! It's not exactly hard work is it?!?!?!?!

Drive-thru eating?! Blecch. I avoid all fast food, which is difficult since I travel quite a bit for work. Just watch Super Size Me and you'll never touch a Quarter Pounder again.
