I think all 4 points are true and will remain true. I expect a certain backlash in the future when folks who left their Prius to buy a Bolt, only to discover they gave up a Toyota to get a Chevy, and come back for the Toyota predictabilty, (To be fair the last Chevy I drove was a 1980 Citation, and it was extremely predictable, if it was Friday, it would not start. After about 4 months of that I abandoned it in a parking lot and told the agency to come get it)

Yeah, I caught that, too. My wife, the V lover, is NOT happy.

My son has a 2017 Prius v 5. I do not think he believes it has been discontinued. He kept his 2005 Prius for 10 years but I think he puts more miles on the v now.
