I found out the hard way that the mat retention clips are different for 2012 so the 2011 mats will not fit. And Weathertech have not designed a set that works yet. Now they're going back to weathertech.
    Just FYI.

The WeatherTech don't fit the PiP either. The holes for the twist-locks are not in the correct locations and appear to be too small anyway. The WeatherTech cargo mat doesn't fit either.

Oh. You might not have an issue if it's not a PiP. I'm just going off my experience. I ordered a 2012 Prius WeatherTech cargo mat for my PiP (thinking that it should fit the same) and it almost fit perfectly. There was just a small area on the right side of the mat that was hitting up against the inside wheel-well housing. This was keeping the mat from sitting flush.

did you order them from the weather tech site? I keep checking and they don't have the weather tech mats yet for the 2012.

All of the mats for 2010-2011 will fit the 2012 EXCEPT for the driver side front mat since it is the only one with clips. The rest fit fine. IMO if you use the rear storage tray a lot then the OE all-weather cargo mat is a great choice because it flexible near the hinge points. I think the Husky mat is designed similarly.

    I did.
Never would have thought the retention clips changed.
Lots of sites haven't updated info for the 2012's and you can just order the 2010+ items.
Figured this would have been the same deal. Mats different from year to year? Nahhhh.
    Well, I was wrong. :D

Ya, I'm waiting to hear back about timing on the new design. I was going to ask if I could keep the other three mats and just get a driver's side replacement when its ready.

it would be nice if they made a mat for the back of the back seats. bought a bunch of plants this week and the back of the back seats are covered in mud.

I have an option for you. :)

I purchased a cheap roll of carpet from Hone Depot for about $12. I used cardboard pieces to make a template in the shape of the rear of the Prius with the seats folded down. I then layed the cardboard on the carpet and cut it to shape. It works great for protecting the seat backs and the OE carpeted mat in the rear. If the plants have a lot of water still in the pots then you still need to lay down plastic sheets that Home Depot and Lowes provides at the garden center checkout area.

This cheap option works well for me. I car many tools and dirty items in my car for my job. :)

    Glad I could help.

I wonder if you could find a flexible rubberized spray you could apply to the bottom of the carpet so it is waterproof but won't rub off or leave marks on your interior. Hmmm

Mentioned this on another thread. I received an e-mail from Weathertech Customer Service, who said that redesigned floor mats for the 2012 Prius will be available in about 6 weeks.
