Do a search here for "lock actuator".
You should find a thread where someone detailed the procedure to remove and fix one.
IIRC, it wasn't a trivial matter.
But dealer cost to fix is rather high.....to the point of being outrageous, I think.
When my second one failed.......out of warranty......I traded the car in.

does it work with the door switch, the drivers door switch, or the key fob?

This is what was happening it like as if the motor in the actuator gets stuck (dirty maybe) I took off the complete actuator assembly and open it to take out the little motor and I cleaned the brush and put back everything and it worked, someone from youtube suggested that if the motor gets stuck again replace it with a 20mm flatshaft motor $7 on eBay. For now the clean up has worked.

I recently did this swap. Locking and unlocking the door manually would work for about 2-3 days and then the issue would return. I found the part (do a search on the forum, I added the part number) for ~$35 after shipping. Took me an hour.
