door panels replaced

    getting the door panels replaced on both sides
    the material is bubbling on both sides where it meets the armrest
    at about 60,0000 km
    I guess stuff happens

    They can be re-upholstered. If you have already decided you are willing to pay the price of new door panels, you have little to lose by trying a DIY repair.

    Removing the panels while leaving the max amount of plastic post is important. Using the right glue is important, other glues have been tried with poorer results. On a car with your miles, the old surface should be cleaned with naptha is you don't peel off the old upholstery.

    This could save you the cost of 2 door panels for the price of a can of glue, some screws and a less than a yard of upholstery.

    Panel replaced today, looks like new :D
