    Hello,

We just bought a used 2012 V and the automatic door unlock within close proximity to the smart key fob isn't working with either keys. It works on the passenger side and the back hatch. I changed the batteries in the fobs. Would that point to a bad door sensor? Actuator?

    Thanks in advance,

Either or both. If the door opens with the inner and outer handles, and locks with the inner door handle, you know the mechanical rod linkages are working. If it doesn't lock with the inner door button control (driver door console), it could be the actuator. If it does lock with the inner door button control, then it may be the RF sensor.

Thanks! The inner control works so it looks like its the rf sensor? Is this an easy repair?

I haven't done one, so I can't comment beyond the fault tree diagnosis.
