    Hello,
I've seen a thread about this in prius II and prius III forums, but no mention with the prius C.
I've been recently very annoyed by a sound I can hear when driving between 5 and 40 mph. It sounds like the window or door seals/weatherstripping is repeatedly losing static friction to a shaking door or window. If I push forcefully outwards on the window the sound seems to be reduced.

I have about 22k miles on the card so far. I'm assuming I should go to a dealership, but I'm afraid some of them will dismiss the problem with some excuse or another. I wonder if any dealership in my area would be more apt to solving this type of issue. I'm in San Jose, CA and I've been to both Sunnyvale, and Piercey toyota for regular service intervals.

I would go to Piercey over Sunnyvale for anything. I've been to both on a professional
level and Piercay is by far a better service department

Yes the weatherstrip does make noise, try putting armorall on it and see if it eliminate it.

Armorall? Interesting, I was thinking I might try Vaseline or some other oil.
Do you think a dealership would just do the same? I might be able to save some hassle if I could just buy a bottle.

buy a bottle and return it if it doesnt work. make sure you get it in between the weatherstrip on the door as well as the one on the body and in between.

I have the same problem. The dealer charge me $100 to "fix" the rattling sound.

I have just developed the same, now that it is cooler, it sounds like the body is flexing and the door seals are moving against the body. So if i armorall it the seals, it will eliminate this problem? How about strut brace or trans tunnel brace?

Be careful with petroleum based products like Vaseline. They will eat away at rubber. It's better to use silicone based.

after 20k miles notice a thump which seems like in right passenger door and a ticking sound nearby.
it could be in the A pillar (TSB 0064-12) or in door itself
feels like glass in passenger window rattles
    prominent over bumps
dealer says he does not hear anything , which is impossible
    going to another dealer
car is under warranty, any suggestions?
I WILL NOT let Toyota off the hook.
Others have the problem I have as I have read different accounts.
