Understood, though the way this thread is headed I will bet the Canadian-spec harnesses and possibly the relay/fuse arrays also differ.

This is why my local Canadian dealer quoted me between $200-$1000 for the mod. They say they aren't getting any help from head office and they need to figure out how to modify the circuit themselves.

Both systems are on the same wiring diagram. Not very complicated. I already ordered some parts. It might be a little challenging getting to the 2C connector on the ECU but only one wire needs to be connected there. The other output is already connected....

    Original diagram from TIS

Possible design at bottom of next pic. Relay 90987-02025 reused on the right, AKA SPST relay. Relay 90987-04010 used on left, AKA SPDT relay. Rated amps 20 amps or higher. I recommend/think higher is better. The fuse will take care of the circuit...

The R1 should be the resistance accross the parallel High beam bulbs, not just one bulb. Sorry about that. If you remove connection to pin #4 then you can measure there to ground.

An electrician should be able to follow and create this circuit.

Here's the Webelectric module in action.

Took my time and was at it for about 3 hours.

    Great work pat767!

It doesn't look good from my side. Asked a parts department and seems like the relay socket is not changeable. You basically have to buy the whole plate/panel. The relay has 6 pins, and even though I am still waiting for it, I can tell from looking on a scion forum that it won't fit nicely anywhere unless that panel board is replaced. It would be a nightmare to disconnect all the wires underneath to replace the panel, and I'm not even sure the rest of the panel is the same....

I think I also made a mistake on the diagram I drew above. If connected to DRL output of the ECU, it may just work fine, but if you connect it to IGN as I've indicated, it won't turn off when you turn on your headlights/parking lights......

The DRL-2P that I installed, handles the everything well. When the switch is set to Auto and it's daytime, the turn signal DRLs remain on. When it's nighttime they turn off and the regular headlights do their job.

OK, I've ordered the Webelectric DRL-2P kit and will install it ASAP since my wife is finally going to start driving her Prius v Five/ATP on a regular basis ... it's been a garage queen (or maybe a princess due to its size) since it was bought last August. Current plan is to connect the Webelectric kit to the car's wiring system and route the wires similar to the way the Southeast Toyota Distributers Prius v DRL kit is done: http://www.trdsparks.com/install/00016-47021inst.pdf

That is a very informative link. Thank you. I'm still looking for a VIN for a similar Canadian model, and may try to buy the No. 1 Relay Block......

Still persisting. The $168 relay is sitting in a box on my table... It does seem like the relay block is replaceable without replacing the whole section. (It is hard to figure out how to use the EWD feature of TIS....) I have a feeling it is not too bad opening up as the wires are bundled together and attached to the bottm. Just found the pin out assignments of the relay... Arrgh...

Went to the dealer parts department yesterday, armed with my diagrams and VINs from a Canadian and USA Prius v. I requested relay block Unit F and the parts guy couldn't figure out which one it is. He then researched and found that only one out of the three or four listed is available. I asked him to check by VIN, and the relay block assembly of each was different. I decided to roll the dice and buy the Canadian part, (hopefully he understood that that is the one I wanted to order,) part #: 82660-47040 BLOCK ASSY. It cost me $14.30 after tax and minus AAA discount, not an arm and a leg with a lot of work like I thought, (hopefully!)

Well, I'll hand it to you for persistence! Does the 82660-47040 BLOCK ASSY (relay) fit into a US-spec under-hood fuse panel? Any rewiring required?

Both v Five, but with and without ATP, perhaps?

Anyways, the relay in question should be populated. It is the one labeled DIM/DRL MODULE. I am still waiting for the part...

    ATP here...

I have to get the part and I'll let you know. They say not to use the TV as a baby sitter so I watch Teen Titans with my Son. I learned something, never give up hope...

This is what my fusebox looks like with all the fuses and relays except for the one circled which according to the fusebox cover was suppose to be a DRL relay module that is missing. Do you have the ATP package? Looking at the fusebox cover, it already has the dimmer relay - the grey one on the bottom left.
