My Buddy just got a leaf and I took it for a test drive today. Wow!!! It was fast. Much faster then my PIP. It also seemed quieter vs my pip in ev mode.

Having said that I would never get one because I need the piece of mind knowing I can always fill it. It drove much better than I expected though.

i'm confused when you say faster. do you mean vs. pip EV mode or hybrid mode? Because these cars take the same 10 seconds to reach 60 mph in track testing.

Driving fully electric is quite fun. And it may feel smoother or quicker in certain speed bands.
I haven't had a chance to test drive a PiP myself yet, so I can only guess.

You need special 220v wiring to plug it in from home

I know someone trying to unload leaf when work commute went to 40 mi each way. Bevs require more planning upfront and are less flexible when circumstances change. With the steep discounts now, it will be hard to get a good price on a used one

Not so. You can plug into a regular 110V outlet. A 220V outlet will charge faster though, but it's not special wiring, the same as for a PiP.

fuelly doesn't work over 200 mpg, but PiP owners don't know that do they?
