    $1250?

The module should be dated with the 4th serial number/letter (S), for 2016. Confirm by checking the modules before install

From what I understand, you keep your old modules to sell

Yes, it could be (R) if it's an early 2016

    Yikes I know man.

So the serial number is on top of the battery module like this picture?

And each module will have a unique serial number.

Ok one last question, if the modules are from the same car, will it need to be rebalanced?

Always wanted to have one... Of course I've seen some of the most backwards clueless Youtube videos about Prius owners who think they know what they're doing. Like the people who think you have to take the front of your car apart to replace the headlight bulb rather than just sticking you hand behind the headlamp and pulling it out. Or the guy who thought he'd save time by cutting the plastic bus bar holders so he could replace a bad module without taking all those nuts off. For some reason he didn't film the part of him successfully doing it... Lol...

I read on Priuschat a couple times last week about the price drop on replacement hybrid batteries from Toyota... I've been meaning to stop by local Toyota parts to confirm the lowered price and get clear on how much of battery chasis the pack comes with. I will update if I get more info.

no need to rebalance, it's a fairly new battery from 2016

Yeah but I'm probably an outlier in that the car was only driven about 4k miles/yr back then. All three failures came in July.

The summer heat in TX, tough on those batteries.

So your repairs lasted exactly a year each time?

Yes and the other commonality was the last two occurred after the car wasn't driven for about 10-14 days stretches.

I know older batteries will go out of balance if not driven, usually a 7 day period will do it.
