    Even with all "these" automated driving functions....

    Perhaps, one still needs to be in control of the car and thinking about driving while behind the wheel.

    Yes, in your scenario, as answered, a tail-gater will still crash into you if you (or the car) if brakes are applied surprisingly/ aggressively.
