I went to the S.D. Prius Club road rally and they announced the May 1 Earth Day event in Balboa park and handed out flyers. They said last year three cars participated in the Alternative Fuel Vehicle parade. I sent in my application and hope to see other club members there. Especially since i don't want to spend the entire day until 5 pm sitting by my car. (I need to eat and see the solar panels.)

But I will have my car (with Dale's decals, Robin Redbreast's hood and console cover and Yoda's 'lightbulb') on display. And I have printed out info for people to read and in the process understand a little better how my car works.

The last thing I want to do is make a Top Ten Prius Myths list, using the comments on this forum.

Here are the links I'll be printing out as a handout:

How does a person join the San Diego Prius owners club? Are there dues? Are there regular meetings? How often do you take trips like the rally in April?

Click on "usergroups" in the upper right hand corner. You should be able to find something to join whatever local club you want there.

    It's free.

There are sorta regular meetings. But I've only been to one so far....the April Road Rally.

I have no idea how often they do a road rally. They have potlucks and one a toyota engineer came out to talk. I'm really new so don't know much.

The president is SevMacpete and he will probably be the one contacting you after you join the usergroup.
