Edmunds buys a Tesla -- to keep and test it

Elon knows how to talk the talk. His aspiration isn't so easy. Some car companies have making cars for over a 100 years and still can't make consistently reliable cars and put out a ton of unreliable ones. But then again, some of them didn't seem to care for a long time, had a broken production system or were delusional.

If they truly care, they will learn. But in the early months of the Model S, they didn't know what they didn't know. It will take relentless desire w/management making it a top priority and a lot of effort to even equal a Toyota or Honda, let alone be an order of magnitude better.
