I was cleaning my egr cooler, egr, and egr pipe today and I decided to unscrew the 2 phillips screw on the egr. I took the plastic cover off and saw what looked like bearing and cylinder. The cylinder can spin to a stop and my questions is, does it need to be wound up before putting the cover back on? I am not sure how it was sitting when I took it apart.

I hope I don't have to take the egr cooler back off.

    Thanks!

You need to "wind down" the magnet and spring to reseat the black cover;).

    So spin on the magnet:).

Otherwise you won't get the cover back on(y).
