Lol, you don’t want more than 1 hand on the vehicle, especially if theres nuts and bolts are involved because you might misplace it or accidentally install it in the wrong spot... it happens.

Yeah be sure to run pipe cleaner, thin bottle brush or what have you, through these passages, the EGR "capillaries", plus the main EGR gallery. I tried in vain to get it spotless, finally settled for functionally clean.

    No need for spotless;).

You’ll go back in eventually, so good enough for now works(y).

Overall, the intake manifold was relatively clean. The inlet ports were wide open. Very little slug.

With the EGR cooler and oxiclean I got to spotless, but it's stainless steel. The intake manifold is shite, porous plastic, not happening.

LOL, and I haven't touched the EGR assembly yet. Have to rewatch your video before proceeding! (y)

You got that right! Thanks for the tip. I sprayed brake cleaner through them. Will try to locate a small brush.

Throwing this question out there. Should I reinstall all the parts in front of the engine block before tackling the EGR assembly?

I will also need to rig up the OCC.

If you’ve determined where you’re putting your OCC and it won’t impede access to anything, I’d install;).

You’ll need the intake manifold on before the egr pipe is installed, so that’s the only order of operation important though:).

Good luck through your project (y).

You mean the air intake, air filter box. I would leave it off till you're done with the egr: IIRC you need to remove the EGR pipe, and the air box needs to be out of the way for that? Doesn't hurt to leave everything off.
