Twins! :ROFLMAO:Finally got it out. What a bear! To remove the lower nut from the bolt, used a long dowel to hold the wrench in place underneath the car. In inspection of the ports, they looked good. Will take apart for later cleaning.

FYI, My car is mostly driven on the highway at 70-75 MPH.

    Success!!!!

I notice in the video @NutzAboutBolts reaches clockwise around with his left hand, is actually able to touch that dang lower nut. Maybe try that when re-installing. Also, did you manage to catch the rearmost gasket, before it dropped? I realized I was one gasket short when reassembling, found it, dropped down a bit. It's too bad they don't have retaining clips on that, would help align it too.

It's been a rough afternoon. I lost the EGR cooler gasket underneath the car frame works. Had to improvise. Ran down to the local auto parts store to buy an exhaust gasket material. Made my own. Should work out. IMG_20180311_160101238.jpg

It's in there somewhere. Did you look with good light? In my case (same story) it hung up a little ways down. Or it may be laying on the underpanel. Take that off, or just pry open that flap? Still up on ramps?

Yeah, it not having clips, like the one at the EGR pipe, is a design fail @Prius Team.

It's in there on the bottom in a tray like crevice. I could see it from above and tried retrieving it with an magnetic tip pole. Didn't work out. It slipped underneath into the crevice which was out of view. Not accessable of course.

I did have the under cover off.

What, not even a spurious check engine light? Excellent! Great that you have an Oil Catch Can in too, you have all the bases covered.

I want to thank everyone on PC for valuable DIY information. Would not have known or done it otherwise.(y)

Old mechanic's trick for removal and reinstall of spark plugs in deep wells such as in the Prius. A one foot length of black rubber fuel line or ATF line will fit snuggley over the white ceramic insulator part of a spark plug. It will allow enough friction that the plug can be turned, but the line can be easily pushed on for removal and pulled off for install.

Thank you! Will do! Also installed an OCC.

Based on the parts inspection (eg. IM, EGR Assembly, pipe, etc.) after removal and at 120 K my car does not consume oil would indicate the car was running pretty good before the cleanings. Should be good for another 120 K.
