EGR Cooler screws

    Pro tip ( as you well know )....Buy yourself a spare EGR cooler and you can take all the time in the world to clean the dirty one. (y)

    I also swear by oxi-clean....and you can get a large amount if t for cheap at Costco, etc...

    Guys -- this really sped up the Oxy results for me:

    I just call it Der 'Hoff. (Sorry I forget whose idea it was to strip TV coax for this, but I read it here on PC.) 15 minutes with this baby and that cooler will tell you anything you want to know.

    I’d argue that using Brake Kleen is worse as the solvent or propellant used evaporated and leaves to the atmosphere ;).

    All you have leaving the cooler is carbon. Guess what we are made of:whistle:.

    But I wouldn’t eat the deposits though(y).

    I'll drink to that, burp...

    My first round was with BrakeKleen, and I ended up with most of what had been in the can, wondering what to do with it. Ended up pouring it over kitty litter in a tray, letting it evaporate, mostly... :oops:
