My 2010 Prius has been doing some weird stuff since February of 2023. I was heading home one night and all of a sudden, out of the blue by abs light, emc break light, and my traction control light all came on. I also was unable to use my cruise. When I went to push on the breaks I really had to push down for them to work.

I made it home took it to my local shop the next day. They could find nothing wrong. The errors were gone. No lights on. Took it home and it immediately did it again. took it down again and they caught the code. They said it was my right rear speed censor in my barring. They replaced that, had no issues… until 3 days ago (may). Same thing happened.

It does it on and off. Took it back to the shop. They put it on the computer and they said the same sensor in the barring they put on in Feb was bad AND now my sensor in my front right barring was also bad. They fixed the one under warranty the other was $600. Took the car home. 2 days later, all the same lights are back on. Obviously it’s not the speed sensors in the baring, or it is and they don’t know how to put them on?
Anyone have this issue before? The car only has 89000 on it and I don’t want to get rid of it, but this issue is really really frustrating. Thank you all!!

    welcome!
you need to fins a dealer, or a mechanic with toyota tech stream diagnostic software.

with that, they don't have to 'catch the codes'. they are always there to be read, and it will read the correct codes.
when you get them, post them here, and we will be able to better guide you to proper repair.
