    Hi All,
    My energy display wont lid.
Car starts and runs without any "check engine" codes and warning light.
At Toyota dealer they couldn't explain which ECU is related with energy display.

Any ideas? Do You guys know which fuse is in charge of this display?

or if you using dimmer it works with both displays ?( speed etc. + energy display ), cause I can't check it now ( car is at my friend place) and I just wondering how it works.

    Thanks in advance

/yeah, the dimmer controls both displays. Sorry to hear about the problem.
    Welcome aboard BTW.

+ did you ever see it on? Could you just not have set the "DISP" correctly?

I've seen display working before with all messages
now, all display is off, even with odometer and clock :(
btw, it seems that display control buttons (on steering wheel working properly - I can see them on left side after pressing buttons)

Is there any ECU related with display or any fuse to check?

Some of the early gen3 cars had this problem, no display. As Teakwood said go to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty.

Interesting to hear about display problems popping up. I have a similar problem, basically a mirror image to that of the OP.

I lost the left side of my display yesterday -- the fuel tank info, the speedometer (AAH!), and instant mpg reading. I was 2 hrs into a 3 hr drive to VT, glanced down and this info was gone! The rest was there - the ready light and the HSI. The display control buttons work. After getting done what I needed to do in VT, I had a 3hr ride home, trying to find cars to follow to set my pace.

I just got a call from service - the display unit is failing. They don't know why only one side went out as it controls both. The good news is they have the part and are replacing it for me today.

FWIW, I've had two displays replaced in mine over the last year.

unfortunately I don't have warranty anymore (car rebuilt after accident )
I've check the price at dealership $170 for energy display and $160 for 1h of labor.
I still have this feeling that it could be something stupid like fuse for example, but don't have any idea which one it may be? Do You Guys think one fuse or switch is related to both displays ? or they have different ones? ... any other ideas (brain storm:)

well I'm glad to see it an be replaced for around 300 bucks. To all the 09 and earler owners who complain about the simple screen in the new prius, enjoy your replacing you thousand dollar display screen.
