Engine Noise - Only when accelerating.

Thank you I took it to a garrage and it looks like the honeycomb inside the catalytic converter was rattling and causing the air not go get out quick enough. Would you recommend cleaning the egr valve and pipe too

 

No. The Gen 2 does not have those. You might consider cleaning the PCV valve though but I would bother myself unless you have reason to believe it is sticking.

 

Thank you this code did come up on my reader with the Prius app p0420 not too sure what it could be with me getting the cat changed

 

The CC installed is not good enough. Presume it is not an OEM CC.

 

So will it still be ok to drive if I just clear the codes
