EPA comparing 2011/2012 Chevy Volt to the 2012 Plug in Prius

    Unfortunately, the description of the PiP electric motor is a bit off. They say 18 kW but Toyota says 27 kW and someone claims to have seen an internal Toyota document that says 38 kW.

    Yes it's likely a typo that no one caught that... Correction should be "60KW".
    Oh and the PiP battery is supposedly 4.4KW, they have it shown as 4.5KW

    More useful would be the amount of KW available, and chart of speed/KW draw, so you could see how high speed affects the range of both of them (yes yes Volt heads, we know the PiP uses the engine above 62MPH)

    Thansk for point it out.. I've gone looking for the PiP from time to time at the EPA.

    Interesting is that the highway is 49, not 50 (which is what I though I had read someplace). Otherwise no surprises.

    I thought it was that originally they were saying 49 combined but then it turned out to be 50 combined with 49 highway, which was better than the liftback's 48.
