EPA Estimated 640 Mile Driving Range

    The Toyota website for the Prime states:
    Prius Prime has an impressive EPA-estimated total driving range of 640 miles [prime_2017_range_rating] and an EPA-estimated EV Mode [prime_hybrid_caution] range of 25 miles [prime_2017_ev_range] if only recharging once.
    My question is how far have Prime owners driven on one full charge and one full tank of gas. If you reached 640 miles or greater of total driving range how many EV miles or % EV ratio did you get, and at what typical speed did you drive in HV mode to achieve this?

    After 91,355 miles and 172 refills, the real-world average tank distance with my Prius PHV is 513 miles.

    That's as real as it gets. There's a wide mix of short drives, long trips, and top-offs. The variety represents the randomness encountered from everyday need, where you don't plan when. You just do when needed.

    With the Prius Prime, I'll be able to drive the entire commute with just electricity. There will be a lot of errand running with EV only too. The tank is larger as well. So, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to routinely expect +1,000 mile tanks.
