I have no affiliation with these folks but it is an excellent idea:

With two plug-ins, I've ordered a 5-pack. Then it occurs to me this would be an excellent "door prize" for an EV party ... like "Plug-In America Week."

They have been available for a couple of years now. Also good for Christmas party gifts.

Great idea! I made an ‘ok to unplug’ card that I laminated and leave on my windshield the few times that I use public chargers.

I've still waiting to see my first charger at a place where the charge cord would reach to a different parking place. I've literally never seen one yet.

I usually need to back in so someone in the next space with a port on the driver's side should be fine. I thought I read that the the Prime Advanced has a plug lock so the plug can't be removed if the car is locked. However, I have not tried removing the plug without having my key on my person.

The advanced has a plug lock that you can use or not. I have to overcome the muscle memory to lock it when I charge in a public place.

Most of my public charging is at our airport, where I volunteer with Traveler’s Assistance on the weekends. The parking there is nose-to-nose so one charger easily reaches 2 cars.

I bought the 5-pack but have a few issues:
    • Slides down - the J1772 and cable tapers and angles down. So I often come back to find the hanger on the ground, not obvious.
    • Not CCS sized - cutting the slit makes sliding to the ground even easier.
A better solution is something fixed to the car cover flap that flops over the J1772 handle. That eliminates cabin storage and simplifies use. Best of all it keeps it away from the grit, mud, and damp on the ground.

It would help if it keeps wet and snow off the J1772 unlock thumb button. We had a ‘frozen water’ block on releasing the J1772 after a misty drizzle was followed by freezing temps.
