Hello, I am new here and my Prime Advanced will be delivered on Saturday. Just a quick question: What is your EV performance range that you are getting with heavy traffic? My home bound commute is from Fremont, CA to Pleasanton, about 23 miles. Highway 680 southbound traffic going home is brutal.

    Thank you.

My commute is within San Jose, from Almaden to close to Milpitas, on Highway 87. The round trip is about 35 miles. I'm averaging about 33 miles EV-only, before the ICE kicks on.

Heavy traffic in the morning, and less heavy coming home (I come home late). The EV range in heavy traffic is much better than in smooth traffic at 75mph, as the repeated braking keeps regenerating the battery. I usually use (can see through the Prime App) about 45% of the battery going to work, meaning that my return trip burns up the remaining 55% (and my ICE kicking on to cover about 2 miles or so).

    congrats and welcome!
you have a decrease of energy use going slower, and an increase in a/c energy over a longer period of time.

all the best with your new prime!(y)
