EV's may be costlier than petrol cars - Alarmist BBC article

    Since 1997 model year... placed in service in 1996. 14 years now.


    The only thing different this time around is the "mass produced" part of the equation. Please note that the NiMH chemistry was invented for the EV industry. It truly was "unproven battery chemistry" at the time when the Rav4 began using it, followed soon by the EV1. And the Nissan Altra was even using Li-Ion way back when! And these guys were all "EV novice car mfg's" certainly.

    Anyway... you'd think that today we could do a little better than 14 years ago, yes?
