EDIT: "The coolant IS the WS."
    My mistake, brain fart!
    WS is for the Transmission.
It is NOT the coolant for the engine and inverter!
I looked at one and typed the other!
SLL(SuperLongLife) is for the inverter and engine COOLANT.
Sorry for the brain fart! I'm glad I realized it, as I was cutting my grass!

I've been using Mobile 1 and Castrol 0W20. I did try the 5W30, and saw no degress in
oil usage, or drop in mpg.

And for "ME", I don't care what industry certification test say, I'll stick with what Toyota says to use,
for the coolant. I believe they know more about their transmission and inverter than anyone else.

As for the engine oil, the oil has been around for a long time and is pretty standard.
I also get Toyota filters, from Toyota. After market ones are only a few cents less.
I get a 10% veterans discount also, so the cost difference isn't worth the effort.

The main thing with the oil and filter is to change them before it degrades.
Which is true of any lubricant.

I picked up Toyota Super Long Life Coolant from a local Toyota dealership parts department in October last year (2020), a four liter bottle, for $22.95 CDN. Up here it's 55% coolant too.

Factoring in the exchange rate and conversion to 4 US quarts:, I make it $17.59 USD per US gallon, The math:

    22.95 x 0.946353 x 0.81 = 17.59
    (CDN price x liter>quart x US/CDN exchange rate)

Thought WS was a tranny fluid.

Did I hear something bad about Prestone's version of coolant/anti-freeze for Asian vehicles? Supposedly it meets the same standards.

I think Walmart must of stopped carrying the Valvoline brand... Haven't seen it there since last Fall... Walmart charges huge for shelf space and you have to sell a huge amount of volume to cover those costs.

Also thanks for the link @Georgina Rudkus that's a great price!

When thou dost protest that much, people may wonder if it's to deflect questions about all those jugs of WS in your own closet.

I was starting to miss the excitement of going out for shots, so I went back out and got the first one for shingles.

Didn't get any of the systemic side effects people talk about for that one, but boy did it make my arm hurt. Set in about 3 hours after the shot and lasted about 14.

I've heard other people report that Shingrix #2 gave them more grief than #1, but in my case it seems nearly a non-event. Arm's a little tender, is all.

Getting this thread back on topic, somewhat anyway lol.

I'm going to to put NAPA Asian Red antifreeze in our Prius. Got it on sale recently for $14.99/gal.
