Excluding charging hours for TOU pricing?

That's a good strategy, but it doesn't make the car stop charging when electricity quintuples in price. If you plug in at 1:00 pm it will still keep going past 3:00 pm.

 

I THINK that I've observed that it will not start charging if there is not enough time to charge before 3. I could be wrong.

 

The car schedule is set to depart at 2:45 pm each day. It is now 3:11 pm local time.

I plugged the car in at 2:20 , and when I checked the app at 2:30 it said that it needed 40 minutes to charge. At 2:52 the app showed that it was finished charging.

I guess I will need to force the issue by driving around to deplete the battery and then plug it in nearer 1 pm. That should force it to keep charging all the way to the 2:45 cut off time.
