Can someone tell me which gasket I need between the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter in a 2013? It currently has a wire mesh gasket in there which I'm guessing has been compressed more than once and that's where I have a leak. Oreilly's sold me a Nickson 31387 steel ring gasket and I don't know if that will work.

I've bought these many times and sometimes the $15 ones are equal or better quality than the $70 ones and sometimes the $70 ones are lower quality than the $15 ones. It's a mess. Your better off physically examining several options in person and picking the nicest one. Of course that's not easy these days when everything is online.

I wound up getting the OEM part at the dealership for $42. It does seem to be working which means it is a good part, I guess. I also saw one at a parts store that looked identical but had different packaging. It was $17 and it's the one I'll probably try next time. Not that I'm an expert on much around here but I'd bet OEM is not an actual requirement practically speaking for this part.
