    I owned a set of interior LED light upgrades for my previous Acura RSX. Being absolutely satisfied with the output of these LED lights, I decided that the interior lights were the first thing to upgrade in my new Prius. The LED performed as expected.

    For the Prius, I opted for the 5000k output instead of the 6000k output I had for the RSX. The difference is noticeable. Here, we have a pure white light output vs. the 6000k upgrades which outputs a bright white light with a noticeable bluish tint. For comparison, here is a shot of my 6000K exLEDusa LED upgrade for the RSX:

    The entire set consists of 10 pieces:

    • 2 overhead map light replacement LEDs
    • 2 front door courtesy light replacement LEDs
    • 2 rear license plate LEDs
    • 2 vanity mirror LED
    • 1 cabin dome LED
    • 1 rear cargo LED

    Just like the LED upgrade for the RSX, there is a tiny Philips screw that you can turn to adjust the brightness. The level of brightness is from "off" to blindingly bright (you'll see):

    To make installation even easier than they already are, each of the LED board have the designated lighting area printed on them, for example, "Room Lamp Module" is imprinted on the pair of overhead dome map LED boards.

    That's a great kit with great results. A bit pricey but not many kits allow you adjust the output to your liking. Unfortunately, the kit is not available for the solar roof package either (which is common with most LED kits).

    Time to lay out a board for the solar roofed car's :eyebrows: Does anyone know the part number of the LED's on the boards that company sells? Either that or a reliable seller of the LED's with trusted advertised color temp numbers? I certainly can layout a board in ExpressPCB and post it so anyone could copy it.

    Those with SR can still get the kit plus a couple of 360-deg multi-SMD 194/168 type LED bulbs in the same color temp from the same manufacturer for $10 or so to put in the front dome. Unless you want go the trouble of fabricating a board for it.

    Very true. Or you could even get one of the 6 SMD panel (like the the one for the dome) and mount with double sided tape. I'm currently using that set-up with the iJDM units. As bright as the OP's interior but with a very slight bluish tint.

    Which is a better match for the turn signal mirror puddle lights.

    If you plan to upgrade to the turn signal mirrors someday, be sure to select the 6000K color temp or you might get annoyed at the color mismatch once you have the mirrors installed and shell out another $99.

    6000K *is* the slightly bluer tint. 5000K is white like shown in the OP.

    Just got mine in and installed.....great but....My map lights don't fit!
    I have a 2011 level 4 and they are way too big to fit.
    Ended up using the license plate lights for them. Only 2 LEDs each but better than looking at those yellow oems.
    Anyone else with this problem?

    I have swapped out all of the interior bulbs (except the vanity bulbs, but that will happen soon) with LEDs from iJDMtoy.com (#2825 5-SMD and 12-SMD)and Autolumination.com (#194 T10 wedge for license plate, #5050 SMT festoon) . I also swapped out the front parking lights and license plate bulbs. No real problems with the installation except the festoons are a little big, but still manage to stay in the clips. I have ordered a set of LEDs that contain resistors that are supposed to work as flashers, and will install them as soon as they arrive. If they work then I will post pics.

    I got the 5k set, definitely like it, big difference much nicer color and brightness then oem. Only problem is the 2012 Prius plug in has different map lights so I am in middle of modding the lights to work, hopefully...chop chop Lol.

    Spent $22 for the interior LED's and license plate bulbs from DDM. Went down and they even put them in for me...the whiter light is so much nicer than the stock yellow tint stuff, especially in the cargo area.
