Extra connector on engine harness

    Beside the connector for the radar unit behind the emblem I have another connector thats taped onto harness but not connected to anything.

    Thats it the wire going up from the harness is going to the radar unit. Any idea what it is?

    That’s connector BA1, which would connect the Engine Room Main Wire to the No. 3 Engine Room Wire, which exists only on vehicles that have the ultrasonic sensors for the Intelligent Parking Assist system, not offered on the Three Touring. The location is shown in the Electrical Wiring Diagram under Location & Routing > Engine Compartment > Wire and Wire.

    My car has the same connector, and it’s also not connected to anything.

    Oh, is that the wire that has about 4 connectors on it? I saw it somewhere before online I believe

    Yes. In addition to BA1, the harness has six connectors, B1 through B6, all for ultrasonic sensors. It’s shown in the parts catalog, Figure 82-02, Wiring & Clamp, as PNC 82113, at the bottom of illustration 3.
