Factory Aux console plug to aftermarket stereo

    Anyone done this im wondering if there is a plug and play option or would i have to splice the wires to a 3.5mm jack

    Did you find an answer I too wish to know how to get the factory aux to work with an aftermarket head unit ?

    Some of the Chinese Toyota/Prius specific HU have the console plug live as part of the regular install.
    The Metra harness for their steering wheel control unit have jacks which plug into your RCA aux plugs. It accepts input from the console aux jack without any additional cutting or splicing.

    70-8114 is the Metra part number for the harness. You also need the steering wheel control unit.
