False CEL?

    I know, I've never gotten my TechStream cable, but my ScanGauge has been reading codes fairly well Until this CEL on Car 4 that doesn't clear but doesn't produce any codes either. Same with the auto parts store's scanner. That guy mentioned defective CELs, just made me think to ask the forum if there been any such stories posted here.
