    Rutger Hauer passes away at 75. Roy Batty was the character he played in the movie Blade Runner, a classic.
    "Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave".
    "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die".

    Mr. Hauer had several other fanatical evil movie roles much appreciated by fans of such. But here as Batty he was thoughtful and playful as well.

    For me, this movie with only other cast members, practical effects and CGI would have been much less without Hauer's life in character. He reached beyond himself as few ever do.
