Which differences should we celebrate? Why do I have to like/love every diverse group to prove something to you? The human race can survive very nicely by accepting certain standards and behaviors. Two things. Diversity is what pulled the US together in the first place. Your quote smacks of ethnic cleansing.

Second, I don't frequent the DNC website. I actually just READ, hence the quote, and Twain is a favorite American author/commentator of mine. You may have heard of reading? You might wanna try it some time--especially anything on US History.

I agree but in a different way. The U.S. is too large of an area with too many people to all believe the same things and live the same way. Diversity is what keeps life going in every way, shape, and form. It is the biological way. There is no one right way to live much like you stated when you said "and those who want to impose their values on the rest of us."

If we revolt against diversity and try to maintain one worldview and force that view on the entire nation then there will be social problems much like we see now but I'm thinking it will get worse and worse until economic and biological pressures cause a collapse.

Kinda random I guess but I do not believe such a large region with such a large population can ever maintain itself for very long and prosper fairly for all.

Excuse the OT comment here but MT is among my top 5 favorite writers of all time and I highly recommend the 4 volumes of Twain's writings published by The Library of America, which has gone to great effort to present Twain's writings as close to his original MSS as possible. These 4 volumes have virtually replaced my entire shelf of assorted Twain I was startled to learn were mostly bowdlerized, abridged and otherwise hatcheted versions of his work by self righteous editors. Well worth the investment! (The Library of America is an outstanding publishing effort, by the way, recovering the original voices of legions of American authors).

Diversity of thought is good. Diverse people seeking to achieve common goals--as the forefathers/immigrants had when forming the US--is one thing. Today, diversity is used to be "one-up" on someone else and have it financed by government largesse.

I believe MS, Kow & Myself have been put on restriction/ suspention the most....

Its not always the word that is used but more of the context that is was used in. Also blatant personal attacks & thread stalking seem to be frowned upon. I tried to find the rules, so I could post a link for others to beable to view..

I guess its kinda like being russian and standing with other russians and you an american walk up and ask for directions. note he doesnt like you for some reason. so he cusses you out in russian and smiles the whole time hes doing it and your none the wiser. because you dont speak russian so you smile back at him while the others are giggling at you too...
