Unconfirmed Rumor of New Toyota & Tesla Partnership
“It is reported that Tesla and Toyota have reviewed the partnership since last year and are approaching the final stage. According to an official from the Japanese automobile industry on the 28th , Tesla and Toyota are considering jointly developing a small electric SUV platform (the car’s basic skeleton). The partnership review has been conducted since last year. Toyota provides the vehicle platform to Tesla, and instead, Tesla provides some of the electronic control platform and software technology onboard its vehicle to Toyota.” [단독] 테슬라·도요타, 반값 전기차 만드나… 제휴 임박PriusCamper Apr 1, 2021 Prius, Hybrid, EV and Alt-Fuel News Read More Views: 9,966 Likes: 0 Replies: 45 -
Four-time Tesla owner opts for Prius Prime
Our very own four-time Prius owner @bwilson4web has opted for a Tesla, but this four-time Tesla owner has opted for a Prius Prime.
4-Time Tesla Owner Opts For New Toyota Prius Prime Plug-In Hybrid-Electric Vehicle | Torque News
By the way, I am now a two-time Prius Prime owner, and I am loving my 2021 Prius Prime Limited Blue Magnetism with its sound steering, ton of advanced features, and amazing turquoise color.
I have doubts about if I would like the Tesla Model 3. The laptop-screen controls are scary, weird, and potentially dangerous, and I need the blind-spot monitor (BSM), which the Tesla Model 3 doesn't have. Don't Tesla Model 3 owners feel like they are sitting in a bare empty room with a laptop when they get into their car? This is not to say that I won't buy a Tesla in the future, but I have my reservations. America's Tire
Got up this morning to a flat tire, the screw was not on the sidewall so we were good there.
I needed a rotation and wanted to rebalance the tires too and I remembered America's Tire does this for free.
They patched up the tire and rebalance/rotated the tires.
All for free, I never purchased a tire from them.
I highly recommend them!!!!

New Green Act (including EV tax credit extensions)
There is a quite good chance this will pass in some form:
On 5 February, the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures announced the reintroduction of the “Growing Renewable Energy Efficiency Now (GREEN)” Act. The bill was previously introduced in June 2020. If passed, the legislation would provide for a host of incentives across the renewable energy, energy storage, carbon capture, and electric vehicle industries.
Some notable provisions include:
...increase of the electric vehicle credit cap to 600,000 vehicles sold, the credit would then reduce to 50 percent the following quarter, and then be eliminated for that manufacturer.
...Qualification of sales of used electric vehicles for up to a US$2,500 credit... -
EVgo Limiting our Rights
I got an email from EVgo this morning about new terms of service.
To me this sounds like if gas stations were to stop allowing modified vehicles. I'm all for things being done safely, but this is not the direction we need the industry to go.
