Through February, Camry Hybrid sales were up 16.2 percent, and about 35 percent of all Avalon purchases in 2020 have been hybrids. Meanwhile, the new Corolla Hybrid continues to make its mark....

Just published and very informative 10 min video with VP, Toyota Canada about "electrified" Toyota cars. Couple take aways for me - (1) Toyota goal of 40% electrified Toyota vehicles by 2025 and (2) important battery chemistry changes around the corner. PP mentioned at 2:48 mark.

Looks like Toyota USA is swapping out the NiMH for Li-Ion hybrid batteries for 2021 for the Camry and Avalon (previously, only the Camry LE had Li-Ion batteries). MPG remains the same as before (so probably used it to offset weight gains from additional equipment)

• TSS-P 2.5+ added to Camry only (intersection support and emergency steering assist for the PCS, Overtake Support for Full-Speed DRCC and Speed Adjustments when RSA and DRCC are used together)
• Camry and Avalon Hybrid also get a new XSE trim level.
• Avalon now includes Smart Watch (Apple Watch) and Alexa Integration via Remote Connect.

Intersection Support
TSS-P 2.5+ intersection support can detect oncoming vehicles or pedestrians (crossing) and provide audio/visual alerts and in some cases, automatic braking.

Emergency Steering Assist
ESA "... is designed to stabilize the driver’s emergency steering maneuvers within their lane while avoiding a preceding pedestrian, bicyclist...

Hi everyone,
My prius 2011 with 115k miles on it. Check engine light is on with warning light. It stops when I drive it with some other lights on the dashboard gets on. I disconnect the 12v battery then i drive for a minute or so and again all the lights comes on and the car stops, it also spitting out engine coolant reservoir,
It's been two years and I am fed up with the prius issues, I have changed 4 water pumps in this time. It often turns on check engine light.
Can the engine heats up with a bad hybrid battery???
what's the main issue any ideas please help

Like the article says...how a manufacturer as able and large as Toyota wasn't able to secure more production is beyond me. Simply dragging their feet some more plug ins. Also...clearly no one wants plug ins, right? #sarcasm

Looks like it's a full hybrid not a mild. No mention of efficiency yet though. This has the potential to save a lot of gas in America.
