Pratt: solid state battery 2-3 years away
Recent interview with Gill Pratt, Toyota’s Chief Scientist and head of the Toyota Research Institute. Status of solid state batteries starts at the 2:03 mark and circles back towards the end. 2-3 years away in hybrids first. My thought - perhaps in the Prius line ?

Phase out coming soon
Perhaps as early as upcoming Q2, depending on 2022 Q1 sales. Cumulatively, Toyota has delivered more than 190,000 plug-in electric cars, which means that soon it will reach 200,000 federal tax credits (which triggers the start of the phase-out of the tax credit).
