NY Governor orders regulatory action to require all LDVs sold in state to be zero-emissions by 2035 - Green Car Congress

Gov. Hochul has directed the State Department of Environmental Conservation to take major regulatory action and require all new cars, pickup trucks, and SUVs sold in New York State to be zero emissions by 2035. Stepped regulations are ZEVs are to be 35% of new LDV sales by 2026, 68% by 2030 and 100% by 2035.

This follows on the heels of new legislation introduced to require future lawn car and landscaping equipment to be zero emissions by 2027....
