I remember a time when Consumer Reports was all but anti-Prius. No, I don't recommend Consumer Reports for vehicle information.

Pratt: solid state battery 2-3 years away
Recent interview with Gill Pratt, Toyota’s Chief Scientist and head of the Toyota Research Institute. Status of solid state batteries starts at the 2:03 mark and circles back towards the end. 2-3 years away in hybrids first. My thought - perhaps in the Prius line ?
