2021 Camry Hybrid Adds XSE Trim; Cuts Prices

Pricing for the Hybrid actually goes down for 2021. It starts at $28,265, which is $1,160 less than 2020’s base price. The new Hybrid XSE trim is much more expensive with a starting price sitting at $33,715 — it’s the most expensive Hybrid now. Most non-hybrid trims see modest increases of a few hundred dollars in price, but the base LE trim doesn’t go up from its $25,965 sticker. One notable increase is a $1,015 increase for the TRD trim (adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, heated exterior mirrors and new Ice Edge paint option for 2021), which now starts at $33,180. It’s still the cheapest way to get the V6 engine, but the value proposition isn’t as good as it was last year.

Ford cuts prices of the 2021 Mustang Mach-E

Ford has good news for many of the motorists who reserved a 2021 Mustang Mach-E. It sent its dealers a notice to announce it's dropping the electric crossover's price by $1,000 to $3,000 -- with one exception.

2021 Volvo XC40 Recharge Begins Production; US Deliveries in Jan 2021

Volvo announced Thursday that production of its first fully electric vehicle, the XC40 T8 Recharge, has started in Ghent, Belgium.

The electric SUV is bound for the U.S. starting late this year, and in terms of pricing, performance, and packaging, it’s shaping up to be one of the closest rivals yet to the Tesla Model Y.

Volvo Cars North America told Green Car Reports and a group of journalists Thursday that while demonstration cars are likely to arrive at many dealerships in December, first deliveries won’t likely start until January.
