I see Plug-In America has a petition complaining that EV drivers of older BEVs are being forced off the HOV lanes in California.

"As part of an innovative partnership between the Volvo Group, California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), and industry leaders in transportation and electrical charging infrastructure, Volvo Trucks will introduce all-electric Class 8 truck demonstrators in California next year, and commercialize them in North America in 2020.

Class 8 trucks are your classic semis, so Tesla will have competition in that market, hopefully.
