Hello my fellow California hybrid, plug in, and ev drivers. I’m sick of paying an extra $100 every year to register my Prius. On top of that, I still have to pay to get it smogged:-(. And, of course I still have to pay state and federal taxes every time I buy gas.

How is that “progressive”? Taxing those of us that drive low/zero emissions, hypermile fuel efficient vehicles? Tax the gas guzzlers. Tax the coal rollers.

Please contact your State of California reps and tell ask them to vote to repeal the regressive $100 registration surcharge for alternative fuel vehicles.

Non-EVs and HEVs might get extremely hard to find and expensive in California in less than two years.
