1,000-Mile Tesla Supercharger Corridor Now Complete In Australia

Tesla informed owners in Australia via email that the Supercharger route from Melbourne to Brisbane is officially ready. The company added three stations to complete the 1,000 mile corridor.

The stations include “The Big Banana” in Coffs Harbor (sic), “Motto Farm” in Heatherbrae, and “Macadamia Castle” in Knockrow. Tesla still has some work to do at the Coffs Harbor (sic) station, but for now it has two temporary Supercharger units. The other two locations are complete, with six permanent stalls each.

Bentley to Offer Plug-In Hybrid Versions of Every Model

Bentley has yet to offer an electrified model, but according to a report from Automotive News, it will add plug-in hybrid technology to its entire lineup in the next few years.

Some of the first vehicles to receive plug-in hybrid powertrain options will be the Bentayga and the all-new Continental GT. A plug-in Bentayga will arrive in 2018, while a plug-in Continental GT will make a showing after a new W-12-powered model debuts. The plug-in version will have a V-6 engine, but its power output should rise to V-8 levels, Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer told AN.

Honda Reveals Plans For Prius-Fighter, Possible Ridgeline, Pilot Hybrids

Honda is preparing another Toyota-Prius-fighter, the automaker revealed today at the 2017 Detroit auto show, and we have a feeling the dedicated hybrid will have a bigger impact than the mostly unloved and discontinued Insight. To be made in America, the Insight successor will launch in the 2018 calendar year. When you need more space than a four-door hatch can provide, however, Honda also revealed plans to apply its two-motor hybrid system to its light truck lineup, meaning it may be just a few years before we see a Ridgeline Hybrid or Pilot Hybrid model.
