Skoda Confirms Plug-In Hybrid Superb Will Be Automaker’s First Of Several Upcoming Electric Vehicles

Skoda, one of several brands under the Volkswagen Group umbrella, has confirmed that its first plug-in offering will be a plug-in hybrid version of its popular Superb.

The PHEV Superbe (sic) will launch in 2019 and it’ll be the first of several plug-ins to come from Skoda.

Skoda will borrow VW Group technology for the upcoming plug-in Superb. More specifically, the Superb will utilize much of the hardware found in the PHEV Volkswagen Passat GTE.
