Thanks lol. I haven't refuelled since my last post in January so I haven't made a February thread yet.

    Thanks again.

My calculated mileage is all over the place. I've filled twice with the MFD reading 47.5mpg and 47.3mpg, but the calculated averages were 54.xmpg and 39.xmpg, respectively. Ahh, the bladder...can't live with it, can't breathe clean air without it (at least as far as Toyota's engineers are concerned). I think I need to learn to pick one gas pump and stick with it.

I'm dropping like a rock. Haven't done the math yet, but went from 48.0 to 47.6 on the MFD in 3 weeks. The one tank , the bladder was so cold the tank did not fill-
It's been cold here- 0 to 20, though the past 2 day up to 32 in the day- no garage...

    Turned 20000 miles last night!

We've been keeping gas stats on our 2005 Prius since 4 miles.

    Odometer at last fill-up: 23638 (2/10/2007)
    Total gallons: 538.7 ($1,220.31)
    Overall MPG: 43.9
Last tank MPG: 31.5 (MFD, i.e., dashboard display: 29.7)
    Latest 5-tank MPG: 38.1

It's been REALLY cold here in Iowa the last few weeks (relatively speaking), hence the drop-off in MPG. Last summer the 5-tank average was greater than 50 mpg. Some folks may be disappointed with these numbers, but considering the kind of driving we do, they're still very good. Since last summer, most of our trips have been 1.5-milers here in town where the engine never really gets warm.

    We love the car.

    Fuel Added: 29.443 litres
    Cost: $27.79

First time I've pumped on a 1 bar since winter started. I thought I was doing well with 4.6L/100km (that's 51mpg) but the calculated shows otherwise. This is with the blocked grill. All I can think of is that the bladder is expanding due to slightly warmer temperatures. (or it's just expanding and stretching, period. Maybe I'll be able to pump closer to the actual tank size this summer lol. Break the 40 litre mark. Wow, this afterthought is getting long!)

Since I'm not going to fill again in February, I tallied it up and saw the sad truth:

    Total Distance: 923 mi / 1485km
    Total Fuel: 20.431gal / 77.34l
    Average FE: 45.2mpg / 5.2l/100km

    MFD Average: 47.2mpg / 4.89l/100km

Average temp for that period: 23F / -5C (makes me feel a little better)

I'm getting around 41mpg . It's very cold here in Boston. However, I don't pump up the tires like some people . I go with the recommended 35 front 33 rear. Car has no problem in the snow. FishHawk.

    My February numbers:

    1/26/2007 - 2/7/2007 fillup at 5420 miles (12 days)
    443 tank miles, 8.71 gallons filled @ $2.239/gal
    Tank MPG - 50.86mpg
Lifetime MPG - 45.15mpg (first time cracking 45mpg lifetime)

    2/7/2007 - 2/24/2007 fillup at 5810 miles (17 days)
    390 tank miles, 8.265 gallons filled @ $2.299/gal
    Tank MPG - 47.19mpg
    Lifetime MPG - 45.28mpg

Temps can get a little chilly here in the morning, mostly 40's and 50's, and I've had to park in the driveway for a little bit due to some garage work, making it take a little while longer to warm up. Drive home temps in mid 60's to upper 70's during February.
