Where are the main vac pipes? Might as well check them over. The only vac pipes i disconnected where the ones at side of intake that go to under the throttle body.
Its only doing it at 2 bars when ice kicks in.

    Some other suspects:
    Intake manifold gasket
    Snorkel connecting to throttle body
    Throttle body gasket

    Ok so new info.

It seems i need to simplify this. Therefore ignore previous posts.

Ok so i do have a hesitation in the engine starting when im lightfooted around town.
Normally because of speedand traffic i seem to be always bang on middle on tbe bar between battery and engine on therefore i get a hesitation feel as tho i bump started car.

Engine clatter and roughness is intermittent. It starts when battery level drops to 2 bars battery starts to charge with the engine making a clatter every 2 3 seconds as though something jnside engine is loose.

Then all of a sudden display will not show if engine is running ir inverter is doing anything. At this point whatever has caused this the engine wont turn off automatically. It will just carry on running. So it seems something freezes. Whatever tells car to charge.
Intermittentley it will try to turn of but sort of stall and go again and then just keep doing that.

I wonder if it's all accommodations for a failing hybrid battery?

if that is with the car off, and after it has been off at least several hours, it's fine

Yes thats the worrying thing. As all today ive been convincing myself the battery is a possibility. The strange thing is that its intermittent but no codes. 70% of the time its fine. When its not it just wont turn of at standstill, it will groan and whine and then go into stall start stall start mode and then sometimes just sort itself out or stay stuck In that mode. So im thinking maybe aling lines of fuel cut off valve or whatever starts and switches ice off. Because it still has hesitation at midway point where ice kicks in. Its always when im at standstill or city traffic for example. If im driving around it will be fine.

Been struggling with torque pro app all day. Paid and downloaded pro version my predefined pids show battery voltages in blocks to show, but they dont give any data.

i don't see how a 12v can affect an operating prius, other than cause the engine to run a bit more. i still think it is an engine or hybrid battery issue

Bisco that was off after a few hours. But i reckon battery is faulty. Halfirds tested it a week or so ago and claimed it was overcharged in fact as it was supposed to have 325cca but was showing 385cca. Ice is kicking in a lot

So annoyed i couldnt read voltages today. If i can just confirm readouts, order cells stick them in and be done with it

It's not uncommon for a 12 volt in good shape to show higher than spec CCA. In fact it's pretty much typical.

For 39 pounds you should be able to buy something like Solar BA5 tester and see for yourself. Now, and down the road.

Bet the fella who ran the battery test set the test setting incorrectly. Some of them will purposely select a higher rated CCA value on the test than the battery's CCA value so it magnifies that you battery CCA is way low to trick you to buying a new battery. In this case, the fella may have input the CCA value tester lower than the battery's CCA thus the higher CCA from battery than sticker rating.
