Filling engine coolant: radiator first or just reservoir?

    My ICE coolant reservoir was empty so I got some Toyota SLLC. Am I supposed to fill through the radiator cap THEN the reservoir or do I just pour it into the reservoir?

    Through the radiator cap (when car is cool) then reservoir

    While removing the clips for the plastic engine guard, one of them flew into the back of the engine bay, into the space in the photo. It hasn't fallen through to the ground. Should I be concerned it might cause a problem?
